This policy is part of the terms of service. It applies to every account, whatever the pack size, and to every key the account creates.

**Quick answer — What does the LLMWebSearch acceptable use policy forbid?**

The **LLMWebSearch** web search API is for finding and reading public web pages, for example to let an AI agent answer with sources. Forbidden uses: Searching for or profiling private individuals, child sexual abuse material, spam, fraud, reading content behind a login or a paywall, and any use that is illegal where you or we operate. The rules apply to every account, from the 5,000 searches pack upward. Paying in crypto with no KYC changes nothing: Every abuse report is read by a person; accounts that misuse the service are suspended.

## What is the service meant for?

Searching the public web and reading the pages a search returns. Typical uses are research agents, coding assistants that look up documentation, retrieval for chat products, news monitoring and market or academic research.

The API reads only what any visitor could see without signing in. It returns sources; what you build with them is your responsibility, including respect for the rights of the people who wrote those pages.

## Which uses are never allowed?

- **Profiling people.** Searching for a private individual to compile a file on them, locate them, track them or harass them.
- **Child sexual abuse material.** Any search or request related to it. We report what the law requires us to report.
- **Content behind a login or a paywall.** Do not send us URLs that need an account, a subscription or someone else's credentials.
- **Spam and fraud.** Generating spam, phishing pages, fake reviews or impersonation from search results.
- **Attacks.** Using `/extract` to probe private networks, flood a website or test a site's defences.
- **Illegal activity.** Any use that breaks the law where you are or where we operate.
- **Reselling raw access.** Offering our API, or a thin wrapper of it, as a search API to third parties without a written agreement with us.

## What are my obligations toward the websites I read?

Our page reader handles the technical rules for you: Our reader respects robots.txt: it introduces itself as LLMWebSearch, follows the rules a site writes for it or for all robots, and leaves out the content of any page it is not allowed to read. A site that sets Content-Signal: ai-input=no in its robots.txt keeps its pages out of your results' content.

What happens after you receive a page is up to you. Quoting, summarising, storing or republishing content can be limited by copyright, database rights or a site's own terms. We do not train any model on your queries or on what the API returns, and we add no rule of our own against storing results; the rights of the sites whose pages you read still apply.

## Can I ask the API to get past a block?

No, and there is no setting for it. When a site turns our reader away, the result comes back without content and with the site's status: we never solve CAPTCHAs, sign in to accounts or work around a block or a paywall.

A refused page is returned without content and costs nothing extra. If a site matters to your project, ask its owner for access or use the official API it offers.

## How do you handle abuse reports?

Every abuse report is read by a person; accounts that misuse the service are suspended. Send reports to abuse@llmwebsearch.com with the URLs involved, the time and what you observed.

We may pause an account while we review a serious report. When the review confirms misuse, the account is suspended and its keys are revoked. Unused credits of an account closed for abuse are not refunded.

## Does paying in crypto with no KYC change these rules?

No. The absence of identity checks is about how you pay, not about what you may do. Our logs keep the first 60 characters of each query for 30 days, as the [privacy policy](https://llmwebsearch.com/privacy/) explains. We use them for billing, support and abuse reviews, nothing else.

When a law obliges us to hand over records, we do so, and only then. A report that turns out to be unfounded has no effect on the account.
