Quick answer
Which news search API gives an AI agent the article text, not just headlines?
LLMWebSearch has a news mode: send topic=news with a time range and you get recent articles with their dates, the top 3 read as Markdown. It is part of the same web search API for AI agents and costs the same credit: $9.25 for 5,000 searches, as of October 2026. No KYC; pay in crypto.
Add two parameters to a normal search. topic: "news" limits results to news articles, and time_range keeps them recent: day, week, month or year. Each result carries published_at when the publisher or the search engine states a date.
Everything else works as in a web search. read sets how many articles come back with their full text, and include_domains keeps the search on the publications you trust.

for r in resp.json()["results"]:
print(r.get("published_at", "no date"), r["host"], r["title"])time_range: "day", three articles read, one summary written by your model.include_domains.The news monitoring use case walks through scheduling and de-duplication.
Results come from a live web search run at the moment of your call, in the order the search engine ranks them; nothing is served from an old index. With time_range: "day", results are limited to the past day as the search engine dates them. Very recent articles can take a while to appear in any search engine, so a monitoring agent should run on a schedule rather than expect a story within minutes of publication. We make no promise of minutes.
Paywalled articles come back without content. When a site turns our reader away, the result comes back without content and with the site's status: we never solve CAPTCHAs, sign in to accounts or work around a block or a paywall. The result still gives the title, the URL, the snippet and the date, which is often enough to cite the story or to show it to a person who has a subscription.
A news search costs the same as a web search: 1 credit with up to 3 articles read. 5,000 searches cost $9.25, 25,000 searches cost $41.25 and 100,000 searches cost $145, as of October 2026.

In every plan: Top 3 pages read as Markdown · Country, language, time and domain filters · Failed calls not charged · Credits never expire
Up to 20 results with max_results. The first 3 are read for 1 credit; set read up to 10 for 2 credits.
Yes. Set country and language, for example fr and fr for French news from France. The results follow the search engine's ranking for that market.
No. LLMWebSearch reads pages at the moment of your call and does not keep them. Store what your agent needs on your side; We do not train any model on your queries or on what the API returns, and we add no rule of our own against storing results; the rights of the sites whose pages you read still apply.
No. News and web searches use the same prepaid credits, which never expire. See the pricing page.
